General Guideline Information

Through the Lrnur platform, we empower individuals to discover opportunities for growth and the sharing of skills and knowledge through Learning Experiences. We want every one of our Members on Lrnur to feel confident that they are pursuing their educational goals in a safe, secure environment.

The following guidelines are intended to help our community of users understand what is acceptable on Lrnur and what is not. The wide range of Learning Experiences listed on Lrnur demonstrate the diversity of our community and aims to be sensitive to all Members.

Through our Community Guidelines and Community Expectations Lrnur tries to cultivate safe Learning Experiences and safe spaces for everyone. If something violates our Terms of Service, is unsafe, or otherwise doesn’t meet the standards set out in our Community Guidelines or Community Expectations, we immediately remove it from the platform upon discovery. Otherwise, we welcome all Members who behave respectfully.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger as a result of content posted on Lrnur, please first contact your local law enforcement agency. Once you’ve reported the issue to law enforcement, report the issue to Lrnur through admin@lrnur.com.

Statement of Inclusion

Lrnur is a platform where anyone can create or find in-person, hands-on, face-to-face Learning Experiences that fuel passions, and provide quality educational content. We believe that anyone can teach, anyone can learn, and everyone can grow. Being inclusive and supporting a wide array of views and content is important to a healthy community and encourages a multitude of engaging experiences and content available through the Lrnur platform. As long as our community remains safe and respectful, the more diverse we are, the better!

Supported Activities on Lrnur

With the goal of learning and growth, here are welcome activities and content that are supported under the Community Guidelines of Lrnur.

Events of All Kinds

Whether it is making wine, knitting, dancing, writing, or nearly anything else—Members are free to create Learning Experiences that bring our community together.

Respectful Content

We encourage views and perspectives to be shared. Members may express themselves and inspire our community with unique perspective and insight, while remaining respectful and sensitive to all within the community.

Self-Generated Content

Members are welcome to use content in their experience listing that they've created themselves, provided that it is not hateful or explicit in nature. This includes photos, videos, logos, and copy.

Merchandise Sales

Member may feel free to sell event-related merchandise in tandem with their listed Learning Experience staying within the legal parameters of copyright, licensing and not selling prohibited goods.

Unsupported Activities on Lrnur

Below are key guidelines for what we believe crosses the line into hateful or dangerous territory, and will lead to the removal of Lrnur Learning Experience listings and disabling of accounts. In general, if we believe there are direct threats or genuine risk of physical harm to someone or a group of people, we not only take action on our site, but will also work with law enforcement (as appropriate).

Illegal Activity

Lrnur may not be used to facilitate criminal activity of any kind. We will work with law enforcement when we have reason to believe there is a legitimate risk to the safety of any individual or the community. Additionally, organizations that participate in terrorist activity or organized criminal activity are not allowed on Lrnur—and neither are events that support or encourage these organizations.

Copyright and Trademark

Members may only upload content on the Lrnur platform, and my only devise Learning Experience content, that they have personally created or have explicit authorization to use. This includes, but is not limited to, all images, logos, videos, and text uploaded on a Learning Experience Listing Page. If, as a user, you did not create the content or you have not received permission to use it, don’t upload it.

Reselling and Physical Goods

The Lrnur is a platform for authorized Members ("Experts") to offer registration for their own workshop or course ("Learning Experience") to the public. The platform may not be used to resell tickets (example, theater or concert tickets), sell physical goods at this time (other than the rental or purchase of materials used during the Learning Experience), or otherwise facilitate the sale of anything other than registration for the Learning Experience and accompanying equipment or materials to be used during the delivery of said Learning Experience.

Hateful/Dangerous Content and Organizations

Lrnur does not tolerate content or organizations that promote or encourage hate, violence, or harassment towards others and/or oneself. Specifically, content or organizations that promote hate towards or the harassment of individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity will not be permitted on the Lrnur site.

Explicit Content

Lrnur is not a place for pornography or violent and/or graphic content. This applies to all content including images, videos, and descriptions. We understand that not all nudity is pornographic and that certain graphic content may be necessary to emphasize the nature of a Learning Experience on our platform. We will remove content that exposes genitals, fully exposed buttocks, or is otherwise intended to celebrate violence or primarily to shock the viewer. Beyond this, we may choose to make certain content private in order to protect the community.

Users may not use Lrnur to collect credit card numbers, social insurance/security numbers, or similarly private information. Members must be thoughtful and careful about the kind of information they solicit and/or provide and may not use Lrnur to collect and abuse sensitive information from others.

Disrespect of our Community

Most importantly, we expect Members to respect the individuals, organizations, and groups that are a part of the Lrnur Community. If the content being posted is hateful, dangerous, or illegal in nature it is considered to be contrary to our Guidelines and will be removed from the platform.

Soliciting Experts to List Outside of Lrnur

Lrnur Experts are individuals, independent small businesses, artists, and entrepreneurs and we've worked hard to build relationships with each of them. While they are free to list on any site or platform, we do not appreciate competitors or related organizers using our site to solicit new partners and the ability of a user to communicate on Lrnur will be terminated if such activity is detected.

How to Flag and Process for Review

The goal of Lrnur is to promote a safe and respectful Community. We rely on this Community to report content that violates our Community Guidelines. We ask for the understanding of all Members acknowledging that Lrnur encourages a diverse Community, and although a Member may find content upsetting or controversial, it may not necessarily violate our Community Guidelines.

If a User come across content that they believe violates our Community Guidelines or is otherwise disturbing, we want to know. Users may "Contact Us" via the link in the footer of the site to submit a concern. We will review each report, and depending on the nature of the report, we may or may not follow-up. If we determine that the content violates our Community Guidelines, we may remove only the relevant content, or we may take down the entire Learning Experience Listing Page. If the abuse of our platform is serious and severe, we may also terminate the associated Lrnur Member account. Certain content, while not in violation of our Community Guidelines, may not be appropriate for everyone on our platform. In these cases, we may decide to make the content private.
